Joe Hibbs of Mapex Drums gives us the scoop on the rounded SONIClear bearing edge that is included on all Armory series kits. The Armory shells are hybrids made up of birch/maple/birch, with black-plated hardware available.
The Mars series also has the SONIClear bearing edge, is 100% birch with a vertical wood grain finish covering, and has finishes available in black and chrome plating. The snares are 14″ x 6 1/2″ – these kits are priced at $599 MAP for a shell pack. Joe shows us 5 great Armory series snares as well: Peacemaker, Tomahawk, Exterminator, Dillinger and Daisy Cutter.
