Drummer A. D. Adams and Singer/Trumpeter Louis Prima Jr. join us from the studio at Capitol Records in Hollywood, during the making of their newly released Louis Prima Jr. & The Witnesses’ CD “Blow”. We get a tour of the album starting from the roots of Swing & Big Band, to those genres today, in a fun history lesson (A couple of jokers, these two!).
As they discuss the making of their new CD “Blow,” A.D. quips “Louis Sr.’s band was a Rock Band (in his genre) – in the same way that Paganini was the Van Halen of the classics” – and they tell us what kind of band chemistry Louis Jr. looked for when he put the band together.
